Jet Airways flight suffers snag

There were 96 passengers and seven crew members on the Boeing 737 aircraft, and all of them were safe, the airline said.

An Indore-bound Jet Airways flight from Hyderabad was forced to make an emergency landing on Sunday after an engine failed.

There were 96 passengers and seven crew members on the Boeing 737 aircraft, and all of them were safe, the airline said.

The twin-engine aircraft is capable of operating with only one of the engines, and pilots are trained for such circumstances.

“The plane landed safely and all were successfully de-planed.”

“The airline has informed the authorities of the event and engineering teams of Jet Airways are inspecting the aircraft,” an official statement said.

The flight took off from Hyderabad at 10.50 a.m. and landed in Indore at 12.15 p.m.
